RECREATIONAL

AEDC's Recreational programs are for student’s ages 3 years and up! Our recreational program is designed to instill a love for dance in an environment that promotes fun, fitness and learning. Dancers are divided by age and ability and students may take one or several classes in any style of their choice. We will continually assess the students to ensure they are placed in the program that is most appropriate for them and their level. All recreational classes will be held once a week and are generally one hour in length. Upon completion of the season, dancers will have the opportunity to showcase their new talents at our year-end recital. Our Recreational program is a great way to learn, have fun in the exciting world of dance while making new friends and creating memories that will last a lifetime!

PART TIME COMPETITIVE COMPANY

Our Part-Time competitive company is designed for those students who wish to pursue their dance education on a more advanced level. This gives these students the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a part of a competitive team without having to commit to the demanding schedules of a full-time program. This program consists of 4 mandatory hours per week. Our Part-Time students will focus on Ballet, Jazz, lyrical and choreography with the option of more classes should the student wish to do so. In order to be a part of this program, an audition process is required. This audition process will determine the appropriate placement for each student. Many elements are considered; technical ability, maturity, commitment, team work, group dynamics, age and attitude. With a variety of additional programs and classes to choose from, students have the freedom to expand as much as they wish. Students are required to participate in 3 competitions per season as well as our year-end recital.

FULL TIME COMPETITIVE COMPANY

Artistic Edge Dance Company’s full time competitive program provides an intensive and comprehensive dance arts curriculum in which students will have the opportunity to expand their minds creatively as well as develop a strong broad based knowledge in all disciplines of dance. Our full-time company is designed to accommodate those students who wish to pursue their performing arts education on a more serious and advanced level. In order to be a part of this elite program, an audition process is required. This audition process will determine the appropriate placement for each student. Many elements are considered; technical ability, maturity, commitment, team work, group dynamics, age and attitude. This program consists of a variety of dance styles ranging from Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Lyrical/Contemporary. Our Full-time competitive companies are required to participate in 4-5 competitions per season, our year-end recital as well as community charities and events. This is a more demanding program, which involves a high level of commitment and dedication from both students and parents.
